Mosaic Oil N.L. is an established and experienced, Sydney-based Australian oil and gas exploration and production company, listed on the ASX (MOS). Mosaic’s main production and exploration assets are located in the Surat-Bowen Basin in Queensland where the Company owns and operates production infrastructure, fifteen producing oil and gas fields and a comprehensive exploration portfolio. Mosaic is also active in a non-operator role in Papua New Guinea and offshore Western Australia. The Company is actively pursuing new venture opportunities with the objective of establishing another, active core exploration and production area outside the Company’s current Surat-Bowen Basin holdings.
Mosaic is expanding its exploration and production team and is looking to fill the following positions:
Position: Chief/Senior Geologist
Qualifications: BSc (Geology)
Experience: 10 + years experience in petroleum exploration
Salary Package: Commensurate with qualifications/experience
Reporting to: Exploration Manager
Responsibilities:
• Strong petroleum geology background with prior experience with an operating company;
• Established track record in successful play and prospect generation;
• Wellsite/operations geology experience with strong log analysis skills;
• Joint venture management experience;
• Experience in evaluation of new venture opportunities;
• Ability to mentor younger staff members.
Positions: Geologist/Geophysicist
Qualifications: BSc (Geology or Geophysics)
Experience: 2 + years experience in petroleum exploration.
Salary Package: Commensurate with qualifications/experience
Reporting to: Exploration Manager
Requirements:
• Prior experience with an operating company in petroleum exploration and/or development as either a geologist or geophysicist;
• A sound working knowledge of seismic interpretation and/or petroleum and operations geology;
• Commitment to working as a member of a small but active team, but self motivated and willing to accept responsibility.
Position: Reservoir/Production Engineer
Experience: 5 + years experience in petroleum reservoir or production engineering.
Salary Package: Commensurate with qualifications/experience
Reporting to: Production Manager
Requirements:
• Experience in conventional reservoir exploitation;
• Able to design well testing programs, conduct DST & well test interpretation, reserves analysis and production performance reviews;
• Knowledge of artificial lift would be useful;
• Able to work in a small team
